MOW VOLUNTEER & STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers play a crucial role in providing quality service to our clients.  All meals are packed for individual delivery routes and deliverd by volunteer driver/rider teams in their own automobiles at their expense.  Every day we need volunteers to deliver meals and provide a friendly visit/daily check on our homebound clients.

Meals on Wheels also needs volunteers to answer phones, give clerical support to the staff, and provide a work force for fund raising events.  We ask that volunteers commit to at least one day a month, but many choose to sign up for a weekly delivery route.  We also need substitute drivers who fill in when regular route volunteers need a replacement.  Our volunteers vary greatly by profession:  retirees, business professionals, families with children, and students.

To become a Meals on Wheels volunteer, print the appropriate volunteer application below, complete it and mail or bring to our office.  You may call (434) 392-8797, 10:00 - 2:00, M - F, for more information; leave a message and we will call you back.  Donations should be mailed to SCOPE/Meals on Wheels, at the mailing address above.
